New version

It's been almost two years since I released a (full) version of Roster2Outlook. In those two years a lot has happend. I moved to a new base, started doing other things and spent more time with my family. Until a few weeks ago, I was also unable to make any changes to my own code. The result is that Roster2Outlook didn't get as much attention as before.

But I have been looking and found a solution, and now I try to make up. I started with releasing a new version that is able to read the new AIMS format many airlines adopted. If your airline is still using the old format, please keep using the old version as nothing else has changed at the moment.

In order to be able to make changes again, I had to go back a few version, so there may be features missing that were present in previous versions. Just let me know when you're missing something.

As always, please let me know any problems, or if you have questions or suggestions. Now I'm able to make changes to the code again, I'll do my best to resolve any problems.

Export to Google!

Export to Google stopped in November 2014

Since version 1355, Roster2Outlook supports exporting your roster details directly to your online Google calendar!

Just enter your Google login and password and Roster2Outlook will connect to your online calendar and export your duties to an existing or new calendar in Google. Your password is saved encrypted on your own PC and can't be decoded on any other PC, just like the other passwords Roster2Outlook saves on your computer.

Roster2Outlook will use the Category you've set in the settings as the calendar name. If this calendar doesn't exist, Roster2Outlook will create it the first time you export to this calendar.

If you want you can try this in a public calendar set up for this purpose, before exporting to your own calendar. If you use this calendar, don't forget that it's public and everyone would be able to see your duties if they know the login details (you can find the details in Roster2Outlook). So after you tried it, make sure you delete the calendar and entries you made.

There seems to be a small bug in Google, that it doesn't use the time zone set in a specific calendar. So to use this option you have two choices:

  • Make sure the time zone of your PC is set to the same time zone as the main Google calendar.
  • Download and export your roster in UTC. The duties will be saved to Google in UTC and displayed in the time zone set in the main Google calendar.

If you have any problems or suggestions about this new feature, just let me know. Use the forum or send me a direct e-mail.

Download add-on
Written by Administrator

I have just released a download add-on that works for several airlines. If you login to AIMS through a direct webbaddress, like, this add-on could work for you. However, you need to e-mail me the webaddress to include it in the add-on.

At the moment this add-on should work for users of the following airlines:

  • AirBerlin
  • Berlin
  • Etihad
  • Nikki
  • LTU

To use this add-on you will have to have used Roster2Outlook at least once with a manual downloaded roster. When you export this roster, Roster2Outlook will remember your Airline and after this Roster2Outlook is able to connect to the correct server to download your roster with this add-on.

To use this add-on, download this file and uncompress it to the same folder where Roster2Outlook is located. Before you can download your roster you have to enter your login details. If you click download before you have done this, you will be directed to the download options.

On the download options page you have to give the following details:

Crew ID: Your crew number
Password: The password you normaly use to log in to AIMS
AIMS pin: The add-on doesn't use this, but because the older add-ons do, you have to fill something in this field. It doesn't matter what you type here, as long as the field is not empty. In the next version of Roster2Outlook this will be fixed.

If you have any problems with this add-on, send me an e-mail and I'll try to sort them out.

Roster2Outlook on social media

There was already a facebook group for Roster2Outlook, but there was not much activity in this group. Today I created a facebook page to replace this and linked this page with the new twitter account for Roster2Outlook. Because both accounts are linked, anything posted on the facebook page will be shown on twitter and any tweets are shown on facebook. I'll try to keep both accounts active, so there should be more activity than in the old facebook group.

You can find both pages on:

Version 3.0 released

I released version 3.0 ten days ago with a new look. And I already had to fix a little bug for people who use Roster2Outlook for the very first time.

This version has a new layout to accommodate an easy to use toolbar I also plan for the Mac version I'm working on. However, things don't go as planned with the Mac version. It ta...kes much more time than I thought. Eveytime I work on it, I run into a new problem I have to overcome. But I'll keep working on it, only in a much slower pace. So hopefully I can release something for the Mac this year...

The good thing is that when I have a working version for Mac, I should be able to use the code for an iPhone app. However, I haven't tried anything for that yet, so not promissing anything. But something for the iPhone is certainly on my mind (I've got one myself now ;-))

When you download the new version, you also need to download a new add-on if you used one before.

New features in version 3:

- New layout with easy to use toolbar
- Options/Settings combined on one page accessed from toolbar
- Rosters in UTC can be automatically converted to local time
- Start downloading automaticaly when Roster2Outlook starts
- Save rosters downloaded with add-on to specified fodler
- Export multiple rosters in one click
- And a few minor bug fixes
